The rain doesn't know it's market day: umbrella up, head down, I walk to Union Square and just as I step onto the square, spring appears...wild strawberries for dinner...
fresh asparagus for dessert...
and then?
Lavender and chamomile tea, made with fresh chamomile picked this morning, bought this morning...and a teaspoon of honey...not the pale viscous liquid harvested from rooftop hives in my neighborhood in Manhattan, but rather, the dark amber beauty that results from the nectar of Westchester wildflowers...The labels are printed by hand and...I believe everything they say.
